I realized Snapchat dominated this collection of photos, but that is probably an accurate representation of my life recently. For Valentines, Bopants and I took advantage of Red Lobster's Lobstersfest deal and consumed an embarrassing amount of cheddar biscuits. My papa bear and our dear videography friend, Austin Wideman, created this short video to inspire teachers and students to view others through the lense of empathy.
Bopants daily surprises me with Harry Potter related gems that always bring a smile to my face. Madi Mae got a job this week in College Station!!! Double whoop and congrats to my favoritest nugget of Aggieland. I can't wait to road trip down to see her next semester. Texts and snaps like these featured are why we are such besties.

The Paper Kites. Featherstone - Monday Morning Motivation

The Paper Kites had me with their opening notes all those years ago. "Wake up to the sound of your fleeting heart. When you go, what you leave is a work of art. On my chest, on my heart" Whaat. These lyrics are superb. The Music Feeds studio perfectly sums up who they are, providing a picturesque background for their amazing vocals.

Dear...

photo dear_zps186e0e4c.jpg Dear Sonic Happy Hour, Thank you for getting me through the past couple of days with vanilla cream Dr. Pepper sugar rushes. One day when my baby is 385% ADD, I might have identified the original root. Dear Miles Teller, You are hands down my new Hollywood favorite. The Spectacular Now gave me faith in Shaliene Woodley's Divergent and Fault in Our Stars performances. You are utterly hilarious and I hope to see more of you on camera. Dear American Idol, 10 points to Gryffindor for casting Harry Connick Jr as a judge this season. Dynamite. Dear Husband/Bopants, Last weekend we binge watched Dr. Who while eating nothing but breakfast foods for 3 meals. Prime example of why we are going to rock as parentals. Dearest Noodle/Baby, We have both done our fair share of growing and expanding this week. Saw you on the monitor yesterday as you raised double high fives. Feel free to develop a morse code/telepathy language to help me understand what you are craving, because goodness knows my whole guessing game is the pits for all parties involved. We are beyond ready for you to come out and join us on planet earth!

Five Mile Town. Curious Creature - Monday Morning Motivation

These chaps voices and the library full band serenade are too lovely to contain. Just yes. A thousand times yes.

Oh dearest Madi Mae,

It has been far too stinkin long since I have hammered out a solid post to you. I swear this whole pregnancy thing is to blame for all my blog procrastination/spaceyness. Let's just cross our fingers now that it doesn't spill over into motherhood. Remember that one time we meshed our faces into a baby website and literally the most attractive fetus was birthed?!? To refresh your memory, this was our face mashup>>

I've decided to make a list of why being pregnant is awesome. Sometimes it is super easy to only focus on how annoying fat/tired/sleepy I am, so I'm focusing on the cool cat reasons of growing a lil human in my belly.

1. Bopants has been so swell in letting me binge watch hours of tv and constantly getting me drink and snack refills...like every single day.

2. Each weekend, I consistently sleep 11 hours!!! That never happens. You know best that even in college, I was worthless when it came to attempting to sleep in. This baby might have learned some sleeping in ques from you.

3. Excuse to purchase new preggo worthy clothes! This is a double edged sword though, because every time I online shop I find clothes I want to buy that in reality won't fit again for 10 months.

4. Being on constant 24/7 baby awareness. I feel far less creepy scoping out strangers lil tots and documenting what brands of products they use or parenting methods they are demonstrating.

photo madi5_zps322d0e77.jpg5.  Constant mac&cheese, breadbreadbread, ice cream cravings - and excuse to indluge full heartedly.

Just wanted to leave you with this star quality photo of us in our spirit animal form.  I love you to the moon and back in a fuego queso filled, Ben Gibbard singing live in person rocketship.Last and certainly not least:

Fireworks by PES - Monday Morning Motivation

Stop motion Pez at it's finest with an epic display of fireworks. What a cool mashup of creativity and festivity.

His & Hers: February Edition

Hers: want, need, listen, read

Once again, our varying lists highlight funny differences in Bopants and my personal viewpoints. He is just antsy to know the gender of our lil noodle and has been craving gyros for weeks on weeks on weeks. I am desperate for a pregnancy pillow and fawned over those fawn glasses. Excited to see how our tastes evolve over the next months.

I've decided to blame all my recent procrastination and spaceyness on the whole "growing a human" thing. So apologies. I pinkie promise to try to be more consistent. The past few weeks have been chalk full of redneck ball attire, seeing friends, sleeping, eating boatloads of carbs, women's conferencing with the Ayers ladies and a lil road trip to Dallas (which somehow ended up absolutely no photos..).
-To start off this seven day snaps - we have the two sleeping babies in my life.
-Bopants likes to send me hilarious life text updates while he withers away on the couch and I slave away at work. Thanks for that.
-One of my lifelong friends, Wendy, sent me this star quality snapchat. I just about rolled out of my chair from laughter.
-Typical spouse conversation. Me: "I just can't even stand up. Can you make me some ants on a log?" Bopants: "*blank stare* Huh?" Me: "You know - celery with peanut butter and raisins on top!" Bopants: "I guess I can do that." Me: "Your offspring thanks you." Then these little celeries ended up on my plate.. he literally put them right on top and not in the boat part. This is reason 983409 our poor child is going to have therapy stories of our parental communication.
-Fresh Grounded Faith was a swell women's conference held by a couple of our local churches. You should check out these ladies for some good laughs and great advice.id
-Elife hosted a stellar Redneck ball and let's just say there was a mechanical bull, biscuit tower, fried spam, dance-offs and lots of beards/guns/american flags. Have I mentioned how much I love this church!

Rend Collective. The Campfire Story - Monday Morning Motivation

This picture of creativity in the outdoors amongst a handful of friends is precisely what I picture in my head when someone says, "community". Such an awesome behind-the-scenes look at a great album. Kudos Rend Collective.
